Recordando a Barbara Paciorek (y a Wiktor Gorka).

Unas palabras por la maestra venida de Polonia.

Cuando yo me enteré que la mtra. Barbra Paciorek había fallecido, grande fue mi sorpresa (como a muchos.) Hace meses acudí a una conferencia de Lourdes Zolezzi en la UAM Xochimilco, y como la maestra de origen polaco daba clases ahí, pues la vimos al final de la conferencia ya que Lourdes estaba con un grupo de estudiantes charlando. Estuvo con nosotros unos momentos y nosotros la vimos bien, y en lo particular, también se me vino a la memoria cuando fui la primera vez a Xalapa, Veracruz con el motivo del 2do. Encuentro Internacional de Diseño Gráfico en noviembre de 1998 en tan linda ciudad.

Yo recuerdo que tomé un taller de cartel ilustrado con el mtro. Wiktor Gorka, también de origen polaco, y yo creo que si hablamos de la mtra. Paciorek es inevitable hablar del mtro. Gorka. Y es que los dos dejaron una buena huella en la formación de innumerables profesionales de la Comunicación Visual en mi país, México. La gráfica polaca ha dejado su influencia á mon avis en la gráfica mexicana. Otros maestros del cartel polaco han viajado a mi patria para dar talleres. Olbinsky con quién tome alguna vez un taller en San Luis Potosí, también ha venido, y yo también recuerdo que la mtra. Paciorek si no me falla la memoria dio un taller de grabado en linóleo. Yo recuerdo pasar por su salón y las buenas instalaciones donde se desarrolló el taller en la Facultad del Hábitat. Por supuesto Polonia también ha sido país invitado de la Bienal Internacional del Cartel en México.

En las fotos que muestro puede verse el folleto de ese encuentro de diseño internacional en Xalapa, y también puede observarse una foto que le tome al mtro. Gorka en su conferencia, a su lado, como ya habrán adivinado esta la mtra. Paciorek. En realidad la fotografía no es muy buena, sin embargo es un gran recuerdo. Uno de mis tesoros de diseñador, yo también conservo un catálogo de un Intercambio Artístico México- España, llamado ¡Esto esta de muerte! evento organizado por administrarte y yo fui invitado por Raúl González. En dicho proyecto participó la mtra. Barbara Paciorek, como se muestra en la foto. Ella participó con uno de sus grabados en gofrado. Ya que era muy frecuente verla en exposiciones de gráfica, en este mismo blog se anunció una exposición individual que tuvo en el Poliforum Culturla Siqueiros. Yo visité esa exposición, aunque yo no puedo decir que yo la conociera personalmente (como Raúl y otros colegas) y tampoco tuve la fortuna de ser su alumno. Pero como muchos de los que hemos participado en eventos de la Bienal del Cartel en México nos sentimos perplejos y por supuesto creemos que es una gran pérdida para la gráfica mexicana. Tuvimos el privilegio de que maestros como Gorka y Paciorek estuvieran en nuestras universidades. Ellos son insustituibles …

sur de la Ciudad de México, yo me sentiría como un intruso si fuera
pero va este post como pequeño homenaje de mi parte ...

Some words for Barbara Paciorek.

When I knew that Barbra Paciorek died, great was my surprise (as many people). A few months ago I attended a conference in UAM Xochimilco with Lourdes Zolezzi,and as polish teacher Paciorek was teaching there, and we saw her at the end of the conference and with Lourdes was a group of students chatting.

She was with us for a while and we saw her well, and for me , also came to my mind when I was the first time in Xalapa, Veracruz on the occasion of the 2nd. International Graphic Design Meeting in November 1998 in that beautiful city .

I remember I took a workshop of illustrated poster with master Wiktor Gorka, also of Polish origin, and I think that talking about Mtra. Paciorek is inevitable talk of Gorka. And is that the two left a good impression on the formation of countless visual communication professionals in my country, Mexico.

The Polish graphic has left its influence to mon avis on Mexican graphics. Polish Poster masters have traveled to my country to give workshops. Rafal Olbinsky who gave a workshop in San Luis Potosi, also came and I attended his poster workshop, and I also remember that Paciorek if memory is well gave a linocut workshop. I remember going through her classroom and good facilities where there, the workshop was held at the Facultad del Hábitat. Of course Poland has also been the guest of theInternational Poster Biennale in Mexico.

In the pictures that show you can see the brochure of the international meeting deign in Xalapa, and also can see a photo that I took of Gorka in his lecture, at his side, as you maybe have guessed was Paciorek. Actually the picture is not very good, but it's a great souvenir. One of my treasures designer.

I also retain a catalog of Art Exchange Mexico-Spain, called ¡Esto está de muerte! Administrarte organized the event and I was invited by artist Raul Gonzalez. In this project participated Barbara Paciorek, as shown in the photo. She participated with one of his prints on embossed. She participated in many exhibitions of graphic, in this blog was announced that she had a solo exhibition in Poliforum Cultural Siqueiros in Mexico City.

I visited this exhibition, but I can not to say that I knew her personally (as Raul and other colleagues) and also I don't have the good fortune to be her student. But like many who have participated in events of the Biennial of the Poster in Mexico, we are puzzled and of course we believe it's a great loss to the mexican graphic design. We had the privilege that masters Gorka and Paciorek that they were in our universities teaching. They are irreplaceable ...


At night a misa for Barabar Paciorek will be celebrated at the south of the Mexico City, I would feel like an intruder if I go but I posted this small tribute of my part to her ...
