Trazos que Cuentan Colores que Narran. IBBY México. Inauguración.
Cédula de la muestra. |
With my art illustration. |
Photos of the opening in Mexico City of the exhibition "Traces that tell colors that narrate" in the Franz Mayer Museum in the activities of the IBBY Mexico Congress . 50 mexican illustrators participate with work of various styles, techniques and visual languages, and illustrations are all printed books published either in Mexico or abroad. In my case this one image of a book of a story of Juan Rulfo: Tell them don't kill me! by Editions Norma and another image of a book published in USA and Canada: The Barking Mouse, written by Antonio Sacre. This book won the Book for a Global Society by the International Reading Association.
Today I visited the museum and had many visitors and also presented "Drawing the World" and "Nami Island Illustration Contest," which along with "Traces that tell colors that narrate" make three samples illustration dedicated to children's literature and youthful. These exhibits also give an idea of the current state of trends in illustration of this type. And it's the first time the Franz Mayer Museum opens its rooms to the art of illustration that plays an important role in visual communication today.
I think it goes without saying if the illustration is art or not is a massive art that aims to reach every person on the planet, is a means to promote reading which is an extension of our mental and conceptual universe, no doubt it is a manifestation culture of a particular time, is a visual memory of that particular time, and the illustration draws on the artistic trends and technological advances now.
Es una exhibición muy larga. |
